Specifications
The series development process in the automotive industry is characterized by the idea of realizing maximum safety for vehicles and their environment. As with any project, the preparation of the specifications has a significant influence on the success and timely implementation of the project. For this reason, we develop the specifications together with our client already in the first phase of the project and already in this document we attach great importance to an ISO-26262-compliant structure.
Requirements specification
After the creation of the requirements specification, the next step is the creation of the functional specification. If the requirements specification provides an overview of the customer’s requirements for the final product, the requirements specification defines how we envision the implementation. This includes compliance with all legal requirements and the implementation of ISO 26262.
Testing
Testing forms the basis for commissioning and acceptance of any development. This is where it is decided how well the product is able to cope with everyday requirements, so that trouble-free operation is guaranteed over its entire service life. In ISO 26262, this is also clearly reflected in verification and validation. Especially in verification, testing is one of the most frequently used techniques.
